Niagara's Militia in 1914: A Tale of Two Colonels
From June 7 to 12, 1914, a fascinating military exercise took place across the Niagara Region. Culminating in a mock skirmish and involving 3,600 men, the action took place far enough west for the weapons fire to be within earshot of the Powers family farm (now The Brown Homestead) west of St. Catharines in Power Glen.
Learn about this intriguing piece of local military history and its exciting TBH connection during this upcoming FREE community talk, delivered by one of our dedicated research volunteers, Mark Wright.
